The characteristics of microwave
Microwave refers to electromagnetic waves with frequencies between 300MHz and 300GHz. It is easy to cluster into beams, highly directional and propagates in straight lines. It can be used to transmit high frequency signals in the free space of unobstructed line of sight. Microwaves have a higher frequency than ordinary radio waves and are often referred to as "ultra-high frequency electromagnetic waves". As an electromagnetic wave, microwave also has wave-particle duality. The basic properties of microwave usually show three characteristics: penetration, reflection and absorption. For glass, plastic and porcelain, microwaves almost pass through without being absorbed. For water and food and so on will absorb microwaves and make their own heat.For metals, they reflect microwaves.
According to the characteristics of microwave, microwave equipment adopts alloy, PTEF and other materials to achieve heat rapidly. It can dry and sterilize products at the same time.
For sterilization:
(1)Microwave can directly interact with food and its bacteria and other microorganisms, thermal effect and non-thermal effect work together, those achieve quick heat sterilization and shorten processing time(3-5 minutes).
(2)Under low temperature(75-80℃), the equipment is sterilizing, at the same time, it can remain more nutritional and self color, aroma, taste, shape and other characteristics, and it has an expanded effect.
(3)Without additional thermal loss, it can save electricity about 30% to 50%.
(4)Owing to surface and internal penetration, the serialization is even and thorough.
(5)No thermal inertia, the microwave power and transmission speed are adjustable, so it’s easy to operate.
(6)There are no other complex devices, the basis condition of electricity and water can meet the requests.
(7)The working environment is low-noisy and low labor intensity(only 2-3 workers).
For drying:
(1) The penetrability of microwave not only heat internal heating source, but also interact with the media of the internal ovens. It’s even and efficient under influence of internal heating source and surface heat.
(2)It can switch to desired value in a few seconds and its thermal inertia is small, so it’s easy to operation and continuous production.
(3)Strong heating field ensures the quality and sterilization.
(4) The working environment is low-noisy, low labor intensity, proper temperature and sanitary.
